Mayweather: Ultimate goal is to find the next Floyd

Despite moulding fighter’s like Ishe Smith, Mickey Bey and Badou Jack to become world champions, ‘Money’ is yet to discover someone with that crossover appeal and still considers it his mission to eventually find a talent that can continue his legacy.

“Mayweather Promotions has always done record-breaking numbers and our ultimate goal is to find the next Floyd Mayweather. With all of the talent out there, it will soon happen,” predicted Mayweather.

“I want all of the fighters out there to keep working hard, stay focused and know that there is no limit to what you can do.

“Mayweather Promotions wants to continue to work with all fighters and help build their careers so that they can get to that top level.”

The 38 year-old earned a whopping $300m in the last twelve months to top the Forbes Sports and Celebrity lists for 2015 and confirm his place as the number one A-lister on the planet.

In terms of fighting, 48-0 Mayweather still has one bout left on his current deal with Showtime and is expected to announce his opponent for September 12 by the end of next week.

Amir Khan and interim welterweight world champion Andre Berto are said to be the frontrunners, with negotiations expected to get more serious over the coming days.
