Gennady Golovkin begins training to make 154lbs

‘GGG’ is back in the gym with the avowed intention of weighing a slimmer 154lbs just in case Floyd Mayweather wants to fight him on September 12th.

He’s even willing to accept a clause suggested by Mayweather’s Father Floyd Sr. for limited weight gain following the weigh-in ceremony.

Editor’s note: Golovkin’s trainer had told WBN that a proposed fight with Carl Froch at super middleweight has gone quiet and added that the unbeaten IBO and WBA title holder can make 154lbs safely if gven the right preparation time.

It’s now up to Mayweather if he want’s to take a risk with Golovkin on the final fight of his Showtime contract or face one of his Andre Berto, Karim Mayfield, Amir Khan and Kell Brook shortlist.
