Hagen expects Lihaug KO this weekend

Hagen has been helping Lihaug to prepare for his super middleweight showdown, and having witnessed the 22 year-old’s training first hand, the Flekkefjord-boxer is predicting a KO victory for the current WBO Youth World Champion.

”I expect Tim to win by KO,” said Hagen. ”It happened when they met as amateurs and I know Tim is eager to make it happen again. We’ve been in the gym together and had some great sparring, and I can honestly say that he is in the best shape of his life and more than ready for Saturday.

”It won’t be easy. It will be a hard and physical fight, and you’ve got to bear in mind that Arne is undefeated and full of confidence, so he is going to bring it, but I believe Tim has the edge. He’s more experienced, and at this level, that can make all the difference.

”Whatever the outcome I’m looking forward to watching the drama unfold. Whenever two Norwegians meet, it’s always makes for a thrilling fight!”

Having claimed his seventh professional victory with a unanimous points decision over Olegs Fedotovs in May, Hagen is in the gym, working hard in anticipation for a return to the ring after the summer break.

”I’ve been in the gym every day since my last fight,” reveals the 26 year-old. ”My only plan this summer is to train hard and continue to develop as a boxer. After the summer break, I can’t wait to get back in the ring and showcase my improvements.”

The all-Norwegian showdown between Lihaug and Ernstsen is available to watch live on Viasat Sport in Norway.
