Khan reveals ‘crazy’ foul-mouthed Floyd Sr chat on Mayweather fight

Khan, 28, is hoping to be in the opposite corner to Mayweather on September 12 in Las Vegas and spoke to Mayweather Sr about the possibility of the fight happening.

“Me and Floyd Mayweather Sr just had a conversation,” said Khan via Instagram. “It was a little crazy talking about a fight between me and his son. A lot of swearing and everything he was doing, but I’ll post it soon.”

Having been overlooked by Mayweather four times in a row, Khan is now on the verge of completely missing the ‘Money’ boat as rivals Keith Thurman and Kell Brook vie for what the pound for pound king says will be his final bout.

There are no other shortages of options for Mayweather as middleweight king Gennady Golokvin and Erislandy Lara also have solid claims to be considered as an official announcement gets closer by the day.

Mayweather recently made over $200m in defeating career rival Manny Pacquiao convincingly on points, and no matter which foe the 38 year-old chooses, his paycheck is set to be considerably diminished on fight night.
