After World Boxing Council flyweight Champion Gonzalez defeated Mexican Edgar Sosa by TKO in two rounds last May 16th on a card starring Gennady Golovkin and broadcasted by HBO, it has been mooted that in September he could be defending his crown when facing another former Mexican world Champion in Giovani Segura.
“Roman is currently training and waiting for news. What we were told is that we would fight against Segura in September,” explained Gonzalez’s Dad.
The main block of Chocolatito’s hard workouts, which would melt soft centers….bar none, are being carried out at the Roger Deshon Gym in Managua, Nicaragua.
