Stafford’s Rob Hunt will make a first defence of his Midlands Area Welterweight Title the Chase Leisure Centre, Cannock, on Black Country Boxing’s ‘The Hunt Is On’ show on Saturday, 11th July.
The 29 year-old was crowned Midlands King after stopping Nuneaton’s Sullivan Mason in a career best performance in Walsall back in April. Hunt makes a maiden defence against Sleaford’s Amir Unsworth.
“It’s got the makings of a cracker,” explained Manager, Errol Johnson. “Rob has consistently improved with each fight over the last 12 months and Amir is a real warrior. It’s a classic boxer versus puncher fight that will catch fire at some point I’m sure.”
Swadlincote’s former amateur star, Zach Parker, is chief support. The former double national champion will make his professional debut at middleweight.
Wolverhampton cruiserweight, Joshua Burke, is also set to make his professional debut on the show alongside Halesowen’s unbeaten sensation, Lennox Clarke, who replaces Tom Stokes..
Tipton super featherweight, Lee Glover, Birmingham featherweight, Sean Davis and Wolverhampton welterweight, Sid Bowater also feature alongside Stoke light welterweight, Kieron McLaren.
Cheltenham light heavyweight, Scott Gibbins Jr, and Iran lightweight, Alex Dilmaghani, complete the card.
The show takes place at Chase Leisure Centre, Stafford Road, Cannock, Staffordshire, WS11 4AL.
