After a successful show on February 27th at the Fauldhouse Miners Welfare, Prospect boxing are making a return to the local venue with a four fight card on June 5th. The first card marked the first professional card in the West Lothian towns history and sold out the popular venue.
Headlining the card is local fan favourite Sean Watson (4-2-1), who in the last fight in the venue picked up the British Masters title with a points shut out of Jonathan Fry, while Martin Taylor, who made his debut on the previous Fauldhouse Miners show in February also returns in his second professional start.
After picking up a injury earlier in the season, Wishaw based Lee Gallacher (4-0) returns to the ring in a four round fight in the Light middleweight division, while completing the line up is Dundee’s Commonwealth title challenger Jamie Wilson who fights in the Super flyweight division.
Speaking about the card, Fauldhouse born promoter Paul Graham looks forward to a return “It was always a ambition of mines to bring professional boxing to my home town of Fauldhouse. So to return with another card is really exciting.
“With this card we have a lot of good talent with a mix of local fighters and few from further afield. It is good to see Sean back in action after his last win. We will hopefully see Lee Gallacher pick up another win and move to five straight wins and continue his education in the paid ranks.
He adds “Martin has been hard at work in the gym and is promising big things. The return of Jamie Wilson excites me as well, his last fight was for the Commonwealth title, and while he came up short on the evening he showed real heart and will be looking to get back into winning ways with this fight.
