Tyson Fury surprises fans, answers calls after wife tweets number

Fans saw the tweet and began dialling to see if the digits were a hoax, and were shocked to find Fury of the end of the line eager to engage with those callers who managed to get through.

The 26 year-old gave each of his supporters a few minutes of his time chatting about Muhammad Ali, Anthony Joshua, Floyd Mayweather, and even upcoming opponent Wladimir Klitschko, as Fury continues to negotiate his imminent world title shot.

It’s not out of character for Fury who is known to have lots of time for anyone when seen out in the public eye, having never distanced himself from those who give up their well-earned cash to buy tickets to see him fight.

Fury has amassed an impressive 24-0 record since entering the paid ranks in 2008 and has moved up the rankings the traditional way by firstly claiming English, then British, Irish, Commonwealth, European and more recently a fringe world title belt.

The 6ft 9ins bruiser in now on the verge of his defining night against the formidable Klitschko, potentially in the UK later this year, provided both sides can thrash out a deal within the stipulated time frame laid down by the WBO and WBA.

If an agreement can be made to take the fight to Wembley Stadium, Fury should have no shortage of support behind him after unselfishly giving up his own time to please those keen to engage in a short conversation with him.
