Heavyweight Tyson Fury spent Thursday afternoon chatting to amazed fans following a cheeky tweet by his wife, Paris, that included the undefeated contender’s mobile phone number.

Fans saw the tweet and began dialing to see if the digits were a hoax. They were shocked to find Fury at the end of the line.

He was eager to engage with those callers who managed to get through.

The 26-year-old gave each of his supporters a few minutes of his time. He chatted about Muhammad Ali, Anthony Joshua, Floyd Mayweather, and even upcoming opponent Wladimir Klitschko.

Fury continues to negotiate his imminent world title shot.

It’s not out of character for Fury, who is known to have lots of time for anyone when seen in the public eye. He’s never distanced himself from those who give up their well-earned cash to buy tickets to see him fight.

Fury has amassed an impressive 24-0 record since entering the paid ranks in 2008. Slowly moving up the rankings the traditional way by firstly claiming English, then British, Irish, Commonwealth, and European.

More recently, he picked up a fringe world title belt.

The 6ft 9ins bruiser is now on the verge of his defining night against the formidable Klitschko. The fight could happen in the UK later this year, provided both sides can strike a deal within the stipulated time frame laid down by the WBO and WBA.

Furthermore, if an agreement can be made to take the fight to Wembley Stadium, Fury should have no shortage of support. Especially after unselfishly giving up his time to please those keen to engage in a short conversation with him.
