TOOWOOMBA’S EXPLOSIVE HEAVYWEIGHT PROSPECT Herman Ene-Purcell is set to once again have fans on the edge of their seats when he returns to the ring on June 27.
The Hermanator is the latest big name to join the card following the recent announcements of The Silencer Kris George and Iron Will Young.
“I can’t wait to fight again,” Ene Purcell said.
“There is no better place fighting than right here and on June 27 I hope I can give the fans another exciting show.
“I hope 2015 can be a big year for me and this next fight will be another significant step, Ene Purcell said.
Ene-Purcell’s manager Brendon Smith confirmed – this will be the Hermanator’s biggest fight to date.
“Without a doubt,” Smith said.
“Herman is on the rise and I believe he has unlimited potential and is very much untapped.
“You need to remember this is a young man with no amateur background, he’s a baby in boxing terms.
“Look at what he has achieved since he took up the sport two years ago.
“Now we need to take it up another step and keep building.
“I’m in deep negotiations for a major fight for Herman.
“We can’t reveal too much at the moment but I can promise you it will be a fight worth seeing.”
Ene-Purcell has improved his record to five wins and three losses and is on a three fight win streak on the back of three impressive first round knock outs.
“The last three fight’s have proven to me how much Herman has improved.
“To knock out Clinton Banks,Rhys Sullivan and James Rowe – all in the first round, is possibly something Herman wouldn’t of done 12 months ago.
“Look at his win over Rhys Sullivan – Herman knocked him out in 36 seconds.Sullivan then went this distance with Liam Messam in a four rounder on national television as part of the footy show fight night.
“That in itself proves how much Herman has evolved and that’s why we believe it’s time to step up.
“Herman has the potential to be anything in boxing and I mean anything – that’s why he’s a must see commodity on our shows,”Smith said.
The ever quiet and respectful Herman Ene-Purcell was happy to let his manager do the talking, leaving him to concentrate on the job at hand.
“I have the most amazing team in the World, Brendon Smith and his crew have done so much for me and it’s humbling to hear what he has said about me.
“I leave all of the negotiations to him and I trust in what ever he has in mind for me.
“Whoever or what ever is put in front of me I will try my best to get the win.
“Right now my sole focus is on training.
“I know this will be a big fight, possibly the biggest of my career so I need to be fitter and stronger than ever before.
“I’m blessed to be able to do what I do, I won’t take this opportunity lightly, I will work harder than ever.
“I can’t wait for June 27,” Ene-Purcell said.
