Wladimir Klitschko’s US return hailed a success

HBO ratings released continue to confirm the success of his performance as the average number of viewers watching the telecast was 1,637,000, while peaking at 1,742,000, the top performing bout on premium or basic cable this year and the most watched HBO World Championship Boxing event since June 2012.

“Wladimir’s dominant performance inside the ring in addition to the sensational ticket sales and extraordinary TV ratings demonstrate his continued popularity in the United States in his first fight here since 2008,” said TOM LOEFFLER of K2 Promotions.

“This was one of boxing’s most successful promotions on all levels in recent years and we’re very happy that Wladimir’s return to the United States was so well received.”

Holder of the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO and “Ring Magazine” Heavyweight Titles, Klitschko improved to 64-3-0 with 54 knockouts. Making his 18th consecutive world title defense and winning his 22nd fight in a row, Klitschko has defeated five undefeated fighters in his last six opponents.
