After another successful camp in January, Peter Sims is back at MGM Marbella with his stable of boxers. This time he has brought six fighters with him; Lucien Reid, Craig “Spider” Richards, Dean Byrne, Dave Leo, Tyler Goodjohn and Ben Hall.
Peter Sims has brought the lads over from his gym in Essex and they are all preparing for fights in the coming weeks. The camp started on the 19th April and is running for 10 days. They are all being put through their paces in the gym and the surrounding area, including making use of the mountain to Istan and the beach! “As always, it’s great to be back”, says Peter, “we are really looked after and we get exactly what we need. I have got a busy time ahead of me and this is the best place for me to get the boys ready”.
“Lethal” Lucien Reid is preparing for his pro-debut on 30th May at the O2 in London. He has recently signed with Matchroom Boxing after a successful amateur career where he won a senior ABA Elite 54kg title last year.
A new addition to Peter’s stable is super middleweight Craig “Spider” Richards who is making his debut at York Hall in London on 13th June following his Haringey Gold Cup.
On the 16th May Dean Bryne and Dave Leo are also in the ring in York Hall; Bryne after his WBA Intercontinental fight, is back on form and his winning ways while Leo has announced his retirement so this will be his last fight and he is getting ready to go out on a high and on 28th May Tyler Goodjohn and Ben Hall are fighting in the same ring.
MGM Marbella wish them all the best.
