Coach Karsten Roewer believes Tyron Zeuge (16-0, 10 KOs) and Enrico Koelling (16-1, 6 KOs) have had the perfect preparations to see them through their crunch fights on April 25 at the Columbia Hall in Berlin.
Both men have tough tests ahead of them, super middleweight Zeuge steps up to defend his IBF International belt against former world title challenger Nikola Sjekloca (28-3, 8 KOs), while light heavyweight hopeful Koelling returns from his first professional defeat to take on Andrej Maurer (5-1-1, 3 KOs).
To prepare for their upcoming fights, Roewer took his fighters to an intensive training camp at the Olympic Centre in Kienbaum. ”Here we had the ideal conditions for training,” said the 52 year-old. ”An ice chamber, sauna and good food – everything we need. Plus, the boys were able to concentrate on their preparations with no distractions or disturbances from the outside world.”
The change of environment appears to have paid off, as Roewer admits he was impressed with what he saw from Zeuge and Koelling, and on April 25, the renowned German coach is expecting his young stars to shine. ”Tyron showed great development,” said Roewer. ”He is constantly evolving and understanding more and more what it takes to make it at the top. With Enrico, we sat down and analysed his last fight and implemented some changes. In Berlin, I expect him to come back better than ever!”
On April 25, fans at the Columbia Hall in Berlin will see if Zeuge and Koelling can live up to their coach’s expectations. Tickets for the action-packed event are available via tickethall.de.
