Yamanaka bloodies and KO’s Santillan in seven (photos)

The World Boxing Council bantamweight Champion, Japanese Shinsuke Yamanaka, defeated previously unbeaten Argentinian, Ricardo Santillan with a seventh round KO at the Prefectural Gymnasium in Osaka, Japan.

Santillan was clearly defeated by the Japanese Champion, who thoroughly dominated the bout, as long as it lasted. The Argentinian fighter was down in round 6 and 7, forcing to Referee Michael Griffin, to stop the “Fraction.”

Yamanaka, aged 32 very capably defended the WBC bantamweight belt which has been within his grasp since 2011. In winning it he defeated Mexican Christian Esquivel by TKO. This is his eighth successful defense of the crown. He left the fight with a record of 25 victories including 17 KO´s and 2 draws. Teiken Promotions presented the card
