MayPac officials named on April 21; Pacquiao postage stamp
The referee and three judges who will work the Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather welterweight showdown at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas will be known by April 21.
On that day, the Nevada Athletic Commission will hold its board meeting and expected to be discussed will be the assignment of the officials who will man the Pacquiao-Mayweather clash.
The third man on the ring will be the most crucial and those vying for the coveted post include Kenny Bayless, Tony Weeks and Robert Byrd.
The identity of the judges will also be topic of discussion and both camps can lobby for the exclusion of someone they deem unfit for the job.
Bayless and Weeks are the favored ones although Byrd could be a good choice alongside Russell Mora, Vic Drakulich and Jay Nady.
The Philippine Postal Corporation will release special postage stamps in support of Manny Pacquiao’s fight against Floyd Mayweather.
About 500,000 stamps dubbed as the Manny Pacquiao Fight of the Century will be released at P10 each. The design was approved by the Philippine Stamp Committee composed of representatives from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the Philippine Philatelic Federation (PPF), and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.
