Kudryashov wipes out Palacios, keeps 100% KO record; Duhaupas beats Charr

The 29 year-old bagged his seventh stoppage inside a round against ‘The Wizard’ as Kudryashov laid the Puerto Rican flat on his back and out of it with a punishing shot.

Yet another impressive display from the Russian follows on from Kudryashov’s 19 second demolition of ex-world title holder Juan Carlos Gomez in November.

Manuel Charr’s top level heavyweight career is in tatters after the former world title challenger lost a majority points decision to Frenchman Johann Duhaupas.

Charr, 30, has now lost two out of his last three contests on the back on his stoppage defeat to ex-WBA champion Alexander Povetkin in the same city almost a year ago.

Duhaupas made a successful comeback from suffering a second career reverse to Erkan Teper in his last bout as two of the judges awarded the 34 year-old the contest 98-93, whilst a third called it even 95-95.

Also on the bill in Luzhniki, Rakhim Chakhkiev laid the experienced Valery Brudov out in the fourth round with a crushing hook, whilst Dmitry Bivol made it two stoppages from two pro bouts with a third round technical knockout of Konstantin Piternov.

The 24 year-old, who holds an amateur victory over Callum Smith, is tipped for big things in the light heavyweight division following his decision to ditch the head guard last year.
