Estrada clearly dominated the fight by keeping his distance and getting power shots off from long-range as his Asian challenger had little opportunity to fire back.

Asenjo just could not do any harm to Estrada and was left with a severe injury to his right eye by the champion. The Commission Box Merida (CBM) announced that the injured right eye Asenjo was so severe, because it left him with a dropped eye-lid, which shows there could be possible neurological damage.

The win meant Estrada reached 32 victories in 34 fights with his 23rd knockout, in exchange for two defeats, while Asenjo dropped to 30 fights with 26 wins and 23 of them by knockout, but now with four losses.

In the co-feature, Miguel “Scorpion” Berchelt applied a rapid pace and powerful work to the destruction that brought down the foundations of valued Nicaraguan René “Chirizo” Gonzalez. Berchelt won by TKO at the end of the fifth inning to seize the vacant North American super featherweight crown supported by the North American Boxing Organization (NABO) under OMB.
