Canelo heads back to TV Azteca in three-fight deal
Boxing company Zanfer is always looking for the best boxing entertainment and now officially announces that it has reached an agreement with Golden Boy Promotions to transmit exclusively throughout Mexico the next three bouts of Mexican fighter Saul “Canelo” Álvarez.
With this agreement, TV Azteca will broadcast and Zanfer will maintain leadership in relation to guaranteeing ratings.
Alvarez, who born 24 years ago in San Augustine, Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Jalisco, has been unified super welterweight champion with the World Boxing Council (WBC) and World Boxing Association (WBA).
The Jalisco is also one of the most spectacular and charismatic fighters today with a large following both in Mexico and the United States, where he participate in his next fight on May 9th.
‘Canelo’ (44-1-1, 31 KOs) returns to the newtork where he began boxing career with the Box Team Azteca. May will be an important month as two super-fights are scheduled. On May 2, Manny Pacquiao fights against Floyd Mayweather which will be followed a week later by Alvarez vs. James Kirkland from Houston, Texas.
