“The danger is Asenjo is a tough fighter who hits hard and is left-handed, so we have to be careful from the beginning of the fight, but it’s a style we know and have trained well to succeed,” said Sonoran Estrada.
The “Gallo” spoke during the press conference held on Thursday at the majestic Grand Museo del Mundo Maya, which was attended by representatives of local, national and foreign press that will cover the spectacular show next Saturday in the Polifórum Zamná.
The spectacular undercard on Saturday is led in the co-main event by local hero Miguel “Scorpion” Berchelt against the experienced René “Chirizo” Gonzalez in a fight over 12 rounds for the NABO super featherweight championship.
The “Scorpion” Berchelt (24-1, 21 KOs) seeks a future world title shot, but will have to give a good account against Gonzalez (31-7-1, 23 KO’s), a real old hardened Nicaraguan.
Also, Aaron “Joya” Herrera (28-3-1 17 KOs) will face Raul “Southpaw” Hinojosa (16-4-1 8 KOs) in combat over eight rounds in the lightweight division, whilst Miguel “Little Jewel” Herrera will go against Genaro “Quickie” Rivers (7-1-0 4 KOs) in a six-rounder. Oscar “Elegante” Arjona (9-2-0 6 KOs) fights Cristian “Lacandon” Cruz (5-0-0 3 KOs) in a six-round fight at lightweight.
