Ex-welterweight world champion Shawn Porter took the frustration of losing his IBF title to Kell Brook last year out on late replacement Erick Bone on Friday.
The 27 year-old, who was due to meet Roberto Garcia until the Mexican pulled out through illness, wasted no time punishing Bone before ending his misery in the fifth.
Bone was cowering in the corner at one point in what was the fights final round before being counted out and left in a bloody mess.
Porter is hopeful of earning himself a rematch with Brook at some point in 2015 although may need a bigger win under his belt in order to do so.
