MGM Grand: Arena of Champions ready to host epic night on May 2

The MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, has built a legendary reputation as the most prestigious venue for Boxing extravaganzas in the World.

The official inauguration of the MGM was in January 1993 with Julio Cesar Chavez undefeated in 90 fights, defending his WBC Super lightweight championship against Frankie Randall.

In an almighty shock, Chavez would visit he canvas for the first time, losing his championship in this historic night at the MGM!

From its opening, the MGM Arena, with a capacity for 16, 800 persons, has become one of the most hallowed boxing hubs in the entire World. Some of the biggest hitters and the most skilled exponents of the Sweet Science on the planet have graced its ring. They include: Floyd Mayweather Jr., Mike Tyson, Oscar de la Hoya, Juan Manuel Marquez, Manny Pacquiao, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, Terry Norris, Roberto Duran and Sugar Shane Mosley.
