Live scorecards on WBN tonight: Kovalev v Pascal

Phil Jay 14/03/2015

World Boxing News will be scoring live on site on Saturday night as Sergey Kovalev defends his treble of titles against Jean Pascal in Montreal.

The big-punching Russian, who added the WBA and IBF versions to his WBO version with an impressive win over Bernard Hopkins late last year, goes into the fight against one-time WBC champion Pascal as the favorite to keep his undefeated standout record intact.

Pascal has only two controversial rounds with Roberto Bolonti under his belt since a January 2014 triumph over Lucian Bute and heads back to the same venue at the Bell Centre for his latest title challenge. The 32 year-old has decided against accepting an offer from the WBC to fight for their mandatory position but will hope to become a major player in the division once again with a shock victory.

Also on the bill, ex-cruiserweight world champion Steve ‘USS’ Cunningham continues his run at heavyweight against Vyacheslav Glazkov, whilst Isaac Chilemba battles Vasily Lepikhin for the vacant NABF light heavyweight championship.

Log on to the WBN website from around 9.30pm ET and 1.30am UK to follow how the fights are scored as they happen.
