Tikhonov drops off eight-fight Vaughan card in Liverpool next week

This means that the Merseyside bill drops to an eight-fight card, although all fighters are now matched-up for the event on March 20 with the exception of lightweight prospect Antonio Counihan who participates in a six-rounder on the night.

There will still be a chance for fight fans to catch a glimpse of some up and coming talent though as the likes of Tasif Khan, Paul Economides and David Agadzhanyan will all feature. The card also marks the return of Nick Quigley after an absence of almost three years as the 26 year-old is matched-up with Czech fighter Ludvik Gina at the higher limit of light heavyweight.

Vaughan stated that his first show of the year will be the start of six big nights of boxing for his company this year which will climax with a massive event at the back end of 2015.

The full card for next Friday now reads as follows:

Antonio Counihan v TBA 6×3 mins Lightweight

Tasif Khan v Ladislav Miko 6×3 mins Bantamweight

Paul Economidies v Isaac Quaye 6×3 mins Super Bantamweight
