Patrick Nielsen (23-1, 11 KOs) faces the ‘Comanche Boy’ George Tahdooahnippah (34-1-2, 24 KOs) on Saturday night at the Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen. Ahead of their WBA International Super Middleweight Championship clash, the two fighters took part in a media workout today at fitness dk – Valby.
”If Tahdooahnippah thinks he can come here and beat me, he is wrong. The Comanche Boy will be crawling out of the ring,” said Nielsen, who is competing in his first bout at the super middleweight limit. ”I can already feel the benefit of not having to lose so much weight. I’m stronger and fresher than ever. I don’t expect the fight to go the distance, I expect him to go down!”
”Patrick is being brought up to be the next Mikkel Kessler but he is far from it,” said Tahdooahnippah. ”I’ve come here to win. I’m going to ruin all his plans and make Denmark my second home. If it’s got to be a war, then it’s going to be a war. If I’ve got to knockout him out, then I’m going to knock him out but whatever happens I’m going to win.”
Nielsen vs. Tahdooahnippah tops the bill at the Nordic Fight Night on Saturday, March 14. All the action will be shown live in Denmark on TV3 Sport 2 from 19.00 and TV3+ from 21.00. Tickets are available via billetlugen.dk.
