It has been confirmed that MGM has signed two further management contracts with Stephen Simmons and David Brophy.
Undefeated cruiserweight boxer Stephen Simmons is currently in training at MGM Marbella in the lead up to his big fight in April. Simmons is fighting on 4th April in Newcastle for the WBC International Cruiserweight belt, he is up against John Lewis Dickinson. Simmons, who is undefeated in 11 professional fights, is training hard with trainer Danny Vaughan. He is being put through his paces but keeping the formula the same; it ?s working.
“Training is going well at MGM, ” says Simmons ” I ?m getting fit, getting the weight off and keeping everything the same, it ?s worked for me so far!”. He has been eyeing up the competition, ” I ?ve seen him,” he said “He ?s very one paced and I want to exploit him on the night”.
MGM are delighted with the signing; MGM Management said “We have really got to know him while training with Danny Vaughan and we know he is going to do major damage at the division.”
Yet more good news for MGM with 24 year-old Scottish professional boxer David Brophy. The super middle- weight is currently undefeated in 13 fights and is set to have a very promising career.
David first came to MGM Marbella after being invited to a week of sparring with Paul Smith ahead of his rematch with Arthur Abraham. He was very impressed with what he saw and was keen to join Team MGM. ” I feel MGM can push my career forward and hopefully get me in the mix for domestic titles and beyond” said Brophy “I am excited about a long future with MGM”.
David Brophy is trained by Billy Nelson and MGM Management are very happy to have David in their stable. “We believe we have signed one of the future stars in the professional game,” said MGM “David is not a well known fighter but with us pushing him in the right direction we believe he will make huge strides in the next 18 months”.
