Cricket bad boy Jessie Ryder cleared to fight on Super 8 bill

Super 8 10/03/2015

The latest Super 8 tournament details have been revealed for March 28. Cricketer Adam Hollioake is set to feature as cruiserweight Brian Minto headlines the SUPER 8 itself at the end of the month. Jessie Ryder also appears despite suffering a fractured skull in a bar attack in 2013 after being cleared to fight.

Minto returns to New Zealand to compete in the all action SUPER 8 Cruiserweight last man standing tournament. Brian “The Beast” Minto will go head to head with seven other knock our specialists including Kiwi favourites Lance Bryant and Israel Adesanya.

Even Piers Morgan has taken an interest in this match up. The feud between Monty Betham and former English cricket Captain Adam Hollioake started on Twitter and will be decided in the ring on March 28th.

Don’t miss arguably New Zealand’s most hated man Cameron “Whale Oil” Slater face off against cricket bad boy Jessie Ryder. An exciting match up that has everyone talking and keen to see the result.

The feature title fight showcases Samoan Kiwi Vaitele Soi, challenging granite-chinned Aussie Anthony McCracken for his WBA, WBO and OPBF Cruiserweight crowns and his #12 WBO and #13 WBA world rankings. A victory for Soi brings a world title fight closer to New Zealand shores. Due to the pair being so evenly matched, fans are assured of an explosive battle.

Commentators are calling Hemi Ahoi the next Mike Tyson. A reputation he has earned from his fighting style and fearsome reputation amongst the NZ boxing community.
