World Boxing Council light flyweight champion Pedro Guevara is preparing as never before for the first defense of his title.
Guevara has been training for four weeks at the Otomi Ceremony Center in the State of Mexico.
“Training at the Otomi I am invincible. We have formed a great team work and I believe I found the formula for being the fighter I always wanted to be,” claimed Guevara, who won the crown in December after knocking out former WBC flyweight champion, Akira Yaegashi.
“Pedrín” Guevara, who has a record of 24 victories, 16 KO´s, 1 loss and 1 draw, is training 3,200 meters above the sea level, focusing on the physic aspect.
“When you are the World Champion there is not room for mistake or over confidence. Having trained at the Otomi offered me great results and we must repeat the success obtained last time. So we are here again and willing to work hard in order consecrate me as Champion.”
The first defense of his title could take place on April 14th in Mazatlan , Sinaloa, where he could inaugurate the Multiple Uses Center against a rival still to be determined.
