Roman Gonzalez heads back down to flyweight for HBO date

Three-time world champion, the Nicaraguan Roman “Chocolatito” Gonzalez, will defend his WBC flyweight title in a USA card presented in May and which will be broadcasted by HBO.

Gonzalez has just eased past Mexican Valentín “Picoco” Leon in Managua, Nicaragua at super-flyweight and the next rival of Gonzalez (41-0, 35 KOs) in May could be the winner of the fight between Thai, Nawaphon Sor Rungvisai and former Mexican Champion, Edgar Sosa, a fight that will take place in one month.

“Roman is going to fight in May on a card broadcasted by HBO, and that’s the most important. That will give him an opportunity so they can watch how many fans Roman has. There are some parallel contacts, as with Teiken Promotions”, Carlos Blandon who’s the manager of “Chocolatito.
