Sakio Bika the subject of career documentary

A documentary about the fighter from Cameroon and Australia. Sakio Bika was filmed in Australia, Africa, Europe and USA, aptly named “Champion, The Journey of Sakio Bika” and is narrated by the legendary Sugar Ray Leonard.

Bika was born in Cameroon on April 18th, 1979. He alwys loved sports and he became an outstanding football player. However when he turned 13 he became interested in boxing after watching an amateur tournament.

Since his first steps he was distinguished for being tough, strong and determined, shaping an amateur record of 136 victories and only 8 looses. He represented Cameroon at the Sydney 2000 Olympic games. He was also Continental Champion that same year. Then, Bika received the Australian citizenship in 2006.

During his career he’s conquered the Australian middleweight title, the OPBF middleweight crown, the NABF super middleweight and the World Boxing Council super middleweight championship after defeating, Marco Antonio Periban in June 2013.
He defended the title getting a draw with Anthony Dirrell in a really close bout. For this reason, they had an immediate rematch, in which Anthony was declared the winner and the new WBC super middleweight Champion.

On April 4th at the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec, Canada, Sakio Bika (32-6-3, 21 KOs) will have another great opportunity. He will fight the WBC light heavyweight Champion Adonis “Superman” Stevenson (25-1, 21 KOs), in what’s expected to be an explosive match.
