Argentinian former WBC super welterweight and middleweight Champion Sergio ” Maravilla” Martinez has stressed that he’s returning to the ring and he’ll do whatever it takes to get back to the top.
During an interview with “Primer Guante” from Argentina, Sergio talked about his future within boxing.
“It was very difficult for me to take this decision. I want to retire from boxing with a victory, but if the doctors advise it’s retirement time, then I’ll do it. For now I will have a month and a half knee treatment in Spain, and another check-up, which may well be the conclusive one.
“I’ll do whatever I can to be able to return to the ring. I’m struggling against the injuries of my body, and if my body allows me, you’ll see me back in the ring soon.
“I still have lots of possibilities here and now. I’m constantly working, either writing books or performing in the theater. I am also a boxing promoter. I have some activities in Spain and USA with trusted partners. I’m busy, ” said Sergio, energetically and optimistically.
