The WBC is proud to present a sensational boxing card which will feature five Championship Fights at a Brand new Stadium in Kunming China this coming Sunday.
The WBC began working to develop boxing in China before the dawn of the twenty first century. Famous Referee Bruce McTavish was a pioneer combining with the leadership of WBC Board member Frank Quill. Many trips have been reinforced with skills, hard work and devotion via seminars for ring officials, ring physicians and trainers. This led to the organization of the first ever Professional Boxing World Convention, as the WBC held its 46th annual Convention in Chendu. And at the same time the first World Championship to ever to take place in China .
The World Boxing Council also crowned the first ever World Champion from China as Xiong Zhao Zhong conquered the WBC minimumweight championship on November 24th 2012 defeating Mexico’s Javier Martinez by unanimous decision. He went on to successfully defend his title twice.
Xiong Zhao Zhong fights for the vacant WBC minimumweight International Crown on this card in that new Stadium in Kunming. His opponent is Hiroya Yamamoto from Japan.
This boxing card is the first in a series of meticulously planned events which will culminate in the WBC’s 53rd annual Convention to be held in November in Kunming China.
