Multi-weight world champion Nonito Donaire comfortably made the 126lb limit as the Filipino gears up for his showdown with undfeated Jamaican Nicholas Walters.
The contest at the StubHub Center in Carson, California will decide who is the one and only WBA title holder at featherweight as both fighters currently hold separate versions. Donaire is recognized as the ‘super’ belt holder, whilst Walters is classed as the ‘regular’ champion in the division.
Both boxers hit 125.6lbs when taking to the scales on Friday for what has all the makings of an explosive match-up.
