Middleweight contender Billy Joe Saunders is not certain to be facing Chris Eubank Jr as his prospective opponent has not yet signed to fight him on November 29.
Frank Warren previously sent out a release stating that the clash between two of Britain’s most promising 160lbers was on, although that will not be the case if the paperwork isn’t competed this afternoon.
The 25 year-old was sat alongside Warren at the undercard press conference for his appearance on the ‘Bad Blood’ card alongside the Dereck Chisora and Tyson Fury’s rematch in London when the promoter made the startling admission.
Eubank now has to live up to his side of the bargain to seal the undefeated grudge match or Saunders will be forced to look elsewhere and disappoint a lot of fans who bought tickets to the ExCel Arena for that mouth-watering encounter alone.
European champion Saunders and nemesis Eubank Jr have a long history of calling each other out for what would be a massive domestic grudge match if it comes off, although this latest revelation has put a serious spanner in the works.
More is set to be known once the deadline is reached in the early evening – UK time.
