Irma Garcia relinquishes WBA title; Luis Pabon appointment
The Aztec female boxer Irma “Whirlwind” Garcia is no longer the World Boxing Association bantamweight -118 lbs – champion prior to her upcoming fight on September 20, 2014 in Sinaloa, Mexico.
George Martinez, WBA president Announced That Garcia Women’s title will not be at the stake following her decision to relinquish the Crown.
Garcia was a WBA Bantamweight world champion twice. The first title fight was against Janeth Perez and then against Magali Rodriguez.
The Puerto Rican Luis Pabon will be the referee of the thirteenth defense of the super bantamweight 118 lbs champion of the World Boxing Association, Anselmo “chemito” Moreno With the Dominican Juan Carlos Payano, on September 26, 2014 in Mesquite, Texas.
Together with Pabon will be Alfredo Polanco (MEX), Rafael Ramos (US), Cesar Ramos (PUR) and the supervisor will be the Colombian Francisco Piña.
The challenger has Payano 15-0 with 8 KOs, whi the bantamweight champion Chemito Moreno has 35-2-1, 12 KO’s.
