Live Scorecards on WBN tonight: ‘Mayhem’ – Mayweather v Maidana

Phil Jay 13/09/2014

WBN will be scoring live on site later tonight as Floyd Mayweather Jr and Marcos Maidana fight it out for three world title belts in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Undefeated Mayweather, 37, is aiming to improve his outstanding record to 47-0 with another victory in his home state, whilst Maidana is hoping to have learnt sufficiently from the first meeting to do more damage second time around.

In thier May meeting, the WBN scorecard mimicked the average press score of 115-113 in favour of Mayweather as Maidana proved he can live with the best in the world and push him harder than most have before. Mayweather on the other hand will want to show that he can still dominate his opponents despite heading towards his forties, and in the process retain his WBC titles at 147 and 154.

Also scored on the night will be world title fights involving champions Miguel Vazquez and Leo Santa Cruz, who put their respective IBF lightweight and WBC super-bantamweight titles on the line against Mickey Bey Jr and Miguel Roman.

The final pay-per-view offering sees Alfredo Angulo make his debut at 160lbs against James De La Rosa.
