Live scorecard on WBN tonight: Martinez v Frampton 2

Phil Jay 06/09/2014

World Boxing News will be scoring live on site tonight as Carl Frampton attempts to win his first world title in front of a massive crowd in his hometown of Belfast.

Over 16,000 fans are expected to cram into the impressive Titanic Quarter venue in Northern Ireland to witness Frampton’s IBF super-bantamweight title challenge against old foe Kiko Martinez.

The 27 year-old will be aiming for a repeat performance to the one that saw him stop Martinez in nine rounds in 2013, which turned out to be bittersweet as the Spaniard then went on to beat Frampton to a recognised belt.

Frampton hopes to put that right on Saturday night in his bid to join domestic rival Scot Quigg as world champion and possibly set up a unification with the Englishman or WBC king Leo Santa Cruz.
