Pulev camp question integrity of Klitschko withdrawal

Klitschko, 38, was forced to pull out of their September 6 match-up in Hamburg on Tuesday due to a bicep injury, and in response, the outspoken Pulev hasn’t minced his words on the delay of his title shot.

“The fight between Kubrat Pulev and Wladimir Klitschko will be postponed due to an injury of the Ukrainian,” read the official document sent to World Boxing News.

“This was announced on Tuesday and rumours then started regarding whether Klitschko is really hurt or if he is just pretending and acting out a scene to keep his world titles.

“After the weird attacks involving Shannon Brigs (where there was always someone taping the attack), and Klitschko’s refusal to accredit the Bulgarian media and even Pulev’s family members, Klitschko is opting out because of an injury 10 days before the fight.

“Further suspicions are gaining strength that Klitschko is postponing due to doping control issues.

“Borislav Boyadjiev, one of Pulev’s trainers, believes that this is a managing trick to trouble Pulev’s preparation for the fight for the world title, whislt Sauerland have released a statement saying that the fight between Kubrat Pulev and Wladimir Klitschko will be held on 15 November in O2 arena in Hamburg.

“All purchased tickets will be rescheduled.”

These are strong words again from the undefeated 33 year-old who is obviously champing at the bit the be given his long-awaited opportunity to face the current WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO title holder. Klitschko has always used his own media team to keep up a squeeky-clean persona and this latest question marks from Pulev won’t be greatly received by the top division ruler.
