A stint on Celebrity Big Brother has been a tough time so far for Kellie Maloney as the ex-boxing promoter attempts to deal with her switch from being known as Frank until a recent gender transition.
The 61 year-old decided to accept a reported £400,000 offer from Channel 5 to appear on the reality show just one week on from going public in the tabloids about her need to change from male to female.
Maloney initially settled in well the first two days, although has been involved in some spats with other housemates in the last 48 hours and is already pondering whether to revert back to being Frank.
An argument with porn star Angelique ‘Frenchy’ Morgan, seemingly out of nothing, began the downward spiral on Thursday night – which culminated in Maloney confiding in Benefits Street’s White Dee and ex-TOWIE cast member Lauren Goodger.
“I’m a wreck,” said a tearful Maloney. “I’m tired. I’m lost, weak and vulnerable. I feel lost at the moment. I feel like I’m about to explode.”
Dee then attempted to calm Maloney down by stating: “It’s called being a woman,” to which Maloney replied: “Then I would like to change back (to Frank).”
The situation has since calmed down in what has so far been a volatile environment with some big characters making their presence felt, but Maloney is determined to stick it out and earn the public affections.
“I won’t let it beat me,” added Maloney.
