Deontay Wilder: Tyson Fury fight will happen… September 2015!

The 28 year-old, who is undefeated in 31 fights all within four rounds, takes on compatriot Jason Gavern this weekend in the run-up to his WBC title challenge against Bermane Stiverne in November.

Provided Wilder takes the title from Stiverne, the American says a massive clash with Fury is on the cards as both are on the same page regarding putting the bout together next year.

“In the back of your mind you already know who you want me to fight…Tyson Fury,” he told Sky Sports.

“You know the way me and him have been dealing with all out on social media. I don’t think we even need a promoter for this one.

“It’s been going on for a couple of years, it’s been me and him going back and forth, it’s been comedy and me and him shooting our mouths off, so the publicity side of this is out there.

“Everyone wants to see this happen. We’ve already sold it!

“All that needs to be done is name a date, a time and a location and it will happen, next year…September.”

Fury, 26, is lined up to face Dereck Chisora in a postponed rematch on November 22 and would obviously have to come out on top in that one to keep his hopes of a possible world title encounter with Wilder alive.
