Santana left the WBF earlier this year under a cloud and has now linked up with another WBF, the World Boxing Foundation, as organisations jockey for position behind the main five of the WBA, WBO, WBC, IBF and IBO.
With the disagreement between the WBF and Santana rumbling on, the Federation’s media department have released the following statement to WBN this week regarding the delicate matter:
As a result of various inappropriate , not to mention likely illegal, actions by disgruntled former representative Alan Santana, the World Boxing Federation would like to clarify the situation with the following official statement:
Mr. Alan Santana was relieved of his duties with the World Boxing Federation earlier this year. He has since joined a private company called the “World Boxing Foundation”, based in Australia.
Since joining said company, Mr. Santana has been attempting to discredit the World Boxing Federation.
The World Boxing Federation, a non-profit organization currently legally registered in Luxembourg, will be taking the necessary legal action against Mr. Santana.
