Gavin loses to Bundu, takes first defeat in eight years like a man (video)

Friday night in Woverhampton was aimed at being one of the defining nights of former world amateur champion Frankie Gavin’s career, but sadly it didn’t turn out that way.

The likeable Brummie lost out to experienced European champion Leonard Bundu via a split decision on the cards (114-113 [2], 112-115), but to his credit had no excuses after the bell.

Speaking to IFL TV’s Kugan Cassius, Gavin spoke candidly in the dressing room, but promised to come back stronger than ever with his world title credentials still intact.
