Former pound for pound king Roy Jones Jr and his opponent Courtney Fry both weighed in at 195.7lbs as they prepare for Saturday’s cruiserweight bout in Riga, Latvia.
The 45 year-old is on a three-fight winning streak since losing via a bad stoppage to Denis Lebedev in 2011 and is favoured heaviliy to overcome the Briton and claim the little-known WBU title at 200lbs.
Fry, 39, surprisingly was positioned for a chance at inflicting a ninth career loss on Jones Jr despite being on a run of two losses and has nothing to lose going into the Kipsala Exhibition Centre contest.
Jones shares top billing on the European card with young Russian light-welterweight Aik Shakhnazaryan who goes up against Ramon De La Cruz Sena in a bid to move to 13-0.
Ex-world champion James Toney was due to battle Denis Bakhtov over eight rounds at heavyweight, although ‘Lights Out’ has now been replaced by Konstantin Airich.
Maris Briedis and Maxim Vlasov also compete in ten-rounders against Joey Vegas and Ruben Acosta respectively.
