Australian world title holder SAKIO “THE SCORPION” BIKA is currently four weeks into his preparation for his next world title defence against undefeated American ANTHONY DIRRELL, which will be held at the StubHub Centre, Carson, California on 16 th August 2014.
Speaking from his training camp in St Louis, USA, Sakio is confident that compatriot Daniel Geale has what it takes to beat Gennady Golovkin when the former IBF title holder challenges the formidable WBA and IBO champion for his belts at Madison Square Garden this weekend:
“I want to wish Daniel the best for his fight on Saturday,” said Bika, who currently holds the WBC super-middleweight strap and has trained alongside Geale in the past.
“He has the ability to beat Golovkin. If they have a good game plan he can win it. I have previously helped him to make him the tough man in the ring If he can take my power, he can handle Golovkin too!”
Sakio will be watching Daniel’s fight from his training camp and will be backing him all the way to bring the title home to Australia.
Bika, 35, participates on a bill that also includes Shawn Porter’s IBF welterweight title defense against mandatory Kell Brook, and WBC lightweight title holder Omar Figueroa’s fight with Daniel Estrada.
