There has already been some needle between both camps since the press tour began in New York, but respected coach Garcia took it to another level when retaliating to some choice views from Mayweather on his own past fights.
“I retired 12 years ago, and I heard you talking about me and my fights. I know that you are going to bring up my fight with [Diego] Corrales –I have nothing to be ashamed of. I lost to a warrior. He was a great champion and I lost that fight with honor, not like a bitch,” barked Garcia.
Clearly irate at Mayweather’s jabs, Garcia then went on to further his condemnation of the pound for pound king by stating: “If I fought like a bitch and acted like a bitch I’d still be undefeated. Floyd fights like a bitch and behaves like a bitch!”
Things were certainly heating up nicely as the tour rolled into San Antonio.
