Collision Course: Results from the Echo Arena

The co-feature was nothing to write home about as Cleverly ended his one-sided encounter with Alexandre Valori in the fourth round.

Earlier, Rocky Fielding engaged with Noe Gonzalez for the first few rounds, taking some heavy shots – before stopping the tired Uruguayan impressively in the fifth.

Anthony Joshua took out old-timer Matt Skelton out in two rounds, equalling the feat of domestic rival David Price. The Olympic gold medal winner is now 7-0 with all seven inside two rounds.

Callum Smith overcame a game Vladine Biosse 100-89 and 99-91 twice after ten rounds as brother Stephen Smith failed to impress in coming through Pedro Navarette. Smith won 78-75 to move closer to a world title shot at featherweight, but not without a fight against the tough Mexican.

Luke Campbell was pushed through a much-needed six rounds by Craig Woodruff, eventually seeing out a 60-54 win. Anthony Ogogo took out Wayne Reed, flooring him before forcing the stoppage in the fifth round.

Gamal Yafai defeated Reynaldo Cajina 40-36, whilst Tommy Martin beat Ainsley Seivwright 60-54. Improves to 9-0.

In the first bout of the evening, John Quigley moved to 13-0 with a 79-73 points win over Ian Bailey.
