Terence Crawford impressed in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska on Saturday night when inflicting the first defeat on Cuban star Yuriorkis Gamboa at the CenturyLink Center.

Over 10,000 fans cheered on the WBO lightweight champion as Crawford made a successful first defense of the belt he ripped away from Ricky Burns in Glasgow earlier this year.

On the undercard, undefeated Matt Korobov scored a decisive ten-round points win over Venezuelan Jose Uzcategui to improve his chances of sealing at top 15 ranking at middleweight. Korobov put Uzcategui down twice on his way to a 97-91 (twice) and 96-92 triumph.
