Live scorecard on WBN tonight: Terence Crawford v Yuriorkis Gamboa

Phil Jay 28/06/2014

World Boxing News will be scoring live on site tonight as Terence Crawford makes the first defence of his WBO lightweight title against ex-featherweight world champion Yuriorkis Gamboa.

There is no resting on his success for Crawford as the American takes on a stern challenge following his impressive victory in Scotland over Ricky Burns earlier this month. The 26 year-old and Gamboa hold identical 23-0 records, each with 16 knockouts, and are participating in the first world championship fight held in Omaha for 42 years when they trade blows at the CenturyLink Center.

Gamboa, 32, who also held the interim WBA title at super-featherweight and 135lbs, fights for only the second time at his new weight – a year on from his last win over Darleys Perez in Canada.

Also on the bill, Matt Korobov and Jose Uzcategui put their unblemished C.V’s on the line in an mouth-watering middleweight bout and Mikael Zewski also aims to increase his unbeaten record against Prince Doku Jr.

Log on to the WBN website from 10pm ET/PT tonight to follow how the fights are scored live.
