Stevenson’s super powers diminish in Fonfara victory (photos)

Adonis Stevenson survived a ninth round scare against Andrzej Fonfara at the Bell Centre to successfully defend his WBC light-heavyweight title for the third time on Saturday night.

The 36 year-old began the fight brightly, but took his eye off the ball late on and was floored by the Pole on his way to a 116-109, 115-111 (twice) victory.

I scored the fight 116-109 myself and you can view my WBN scorecard for the fight here.

Also on the bill in Montreal, David Lemieux impressed with a three-round pummeling of Fernando Guerrero, whilst Jermell Charlo remains unbeaten following a dull twelve round decision over Charlie Ohta.
