Chris Eubank: Only Andre Ward can beat my son!

Eubank, who has overseen his offspring’s rise to 15-0 and one of the best fighter’s in the UK, went even further by stating that only pound for pound ranked Andre Ward has the skills to defeat his son right now, alluding to the higher weight of 168lbs.

It was a bold statement by Eubank after his son steamrolled the out-of-depth Pole as Eubank Jr is yet to face the top boxers in his native Britain – with the young star even threatening to skip domestic level all together.

“Only one fighter in the world beats my son now and that is Andre Ward. That’s because he is a thinker and only come forward when he wants to.

“But any other fighter in the world at middleweight or super-middleweight my son beats them,” Eubank told BoxNation after the fight.

Junior, 24, was asked at one-point by commentator John Rawlings if he was willing to share the ring with current British champion Billy Joe Saunders, to which he replied:

“Who is Billy Joe Saunders? I have never seen the guy fight. I don’t’ know him, but if he ever gets the privilege of meeting me in the ring, he will wish he hadn’t.”

Hard-punching Eubank Jr is set for his next outing on the July 26 card topped by Fury v Chisora 2 in Manchester, with an opponent for the contest still yet to be formally confirmed.
