The 26 year-old will look to build on his fourth round stoppage win over Cosme Rivera last February when ‘The Heat’ fights at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica next month.
Van Heerden has just one solitary, but highly-debatable blemish on his 22-fight record so far, and held the IBO welterweight title until recently before he gave it up to chase his American dream.
An opponent will be announced shortly as the southpaw continues his march towards further titles in the USA.
