Amir Khan reacts badly to Floyd Mayweather’s Adrien Broner offer

The 27-year-old lost out on a fight with Mayweather despite claiming victory in a vote on the official Mayweather Promotions’ website, and Khan has made his skepticism of the Broner fight clear.

“FM (Floyd Mayweather) is full of shit. Just like ‘my next opponent poll!” snapped Khan.

The Bolton fighter’s reaction certainly puts doubts on any acceptance of Mayweather’s idea, even with the incentive of a possible clash with ‘Money’ in September if Khan can inflict a second straight defeat on Broner.

Broner, 25, lost to the hard-hitting Maidana coming in as a pre-fight favorite to overcome the Argentinian in December and had been in line for a rematch with ‘Chino’ until Mayweather swooped in for a unification.

A fight between the two would be a mouth-watering prospect if Broner and Khan could agree on a deal for the Showtime PPV event, although after recent developments, there seems to be a lot of work to do actually to get the pair in the ring on May 3.
